A $10 + GST admin fee will apply for changes made to an order without a valid reason. This fee covers the time required to update bookings and invoices, as well as any costs incurred for goods already purchased or prepared.

Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy

At Perth Cake Collective (PCC), we understand that plans can change. However, the following conditions apply to cancellations, rescheduling, and missed collections:

Enquiry Form and Invoiced Orders:

Cancelling an enquiry form or invoiced order will result in the loss of your non-refundable deposit.

Online Shop Orders:

For cancellations of online shop purchases, a refund will be issued minus a $25 + GST processing fee, provided:

  • No products have been made yet.

We aim to accommodate changes where possible and appreciate your understanding of these policies.

Refund and Satisfaction Policy

At Perth Cake Collective (PCC), we want you to be completely satisfied with your order. However, the following conditions apply:

Design, Colour, and Decoration:

Refunds will not be issued for dissatisfaction with design, colour shade, or general decoration.

It is the client's responsibility to communicate design preferences clearly, provide sufficient details, and allow PCC to guide the design process.

By choosing PCC, you trust our style, professional experience, and strong reputation. If we don't think your design looks up to standard, we will contact you to make appropriate changes.

Flavour and Quality Concerns:

If you are dissatisfied with the flavour quality of your cake and request a refund, this will be assessed at the discretion of our staff.

In such cases, the cake must be returned to our premises within 5 days of collection for evaluation.

Refunds cannot be issued for products that have been consumed. Please order a cake tasting box prior to ordering to ensure you are completely satisfied with the flavour before ordering a more costly product.

At Pickup:

If you are unhappy with your cake at pickup, we will do our best to resolve the issue immediately.

Please note that if you send someone else to collect your cake, this opportunity may not be available.

Damage Post-Collection:

PCC takes no responsibility for any damage that occurs after the cake has left our premises.

If damage occurs during your transport or handling, we may assist with repairs subject to our availability.

Extra care is advised when transporting tall cakes to avoid mishandling. Please see our tips for transporting in our FAQs.

Thank you for understanding our policies and for choosing PCC. If you have any concerns, please reach out, and we’ll do our best to assist!

Fees and Charges

At Perth Cake Collective (PCC), we aim to provide transparency regarding fees associated with refunds, changes, and rush orders. These fees are necessary to cover operational costs and ensure the smooth running of our small business.

  • Refund Admin Fees:
Refunds for shop orders will incur an admin fee if availability has been disregarded or if orders are cancelled. This fee covers the charges from our payment platform for processing both the initial payment and the refund.
  • Order Changes:
Changes to orders will incur a fee of $10 + GST to cover the additional labour involved, including updating run sheets, resending invoices, and extra time spent on discussions.
  • Rush Orders:
A rush fee of $10 + GST applies to orders placed after our weekly cut-off time (Monday at 5pm for the following week).

We understand that fees can be inconvenient, but they help us manage our resources and continue to operate effectively. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Storage and Responsibility

Perth Cake Collective (PCC) aims to provide detailed guidance on the best storage practices for your order, both in person and via our website.

Please note that once a cake has been picked up by the client or their designated representative, or delivered to the client’s address or event space, PCC cannot be held responsible for any damage that occurs thereafter.

We recommend following our storage advice closely to maintain the quality and condition of your cake.

On the Perth Cake Collective (PCC) website, orders are elected to be either picked up or delivered (with sufficient notice).

Pickup:

  • Orders must be collected at the agreed time. Our schedule is strict due to multiple deliveries and pickups.
  • If you arrive late, you may need to return later for collection or pay for delivery via a courier service (e.g., Uber).
  • We send ample correspondence and reminders to ensure customers are aware of their pickup times.

Delivery:

  • If opting for delivery, please ensure someone is home to receive your order at the agreed time.
  • While you can leave out an esky bag, we do not recommend this.
  • If no one is available and no esky is left out, we will leave your order in the safest possible location to prevent issues such as melting or pest interference.
  • Delivery times are provided as a window of estimate at booking, and PCC will aim to provide a more specific timeframe closer to the delivery date.

Important Notes:

  • PCC cannot ensure the freshness of your product if there is insufficient notice for changes to the pickup or delivery time.

Design and Creative Process

At Perth Cake Collective, we value originality and the creative process. While we are happy to use your inspiration images as a reference, we do not copy or replicate another artist's work exactly. Every cake we create is unique, even if based on our own previous designs.

Decorative Elements:

  • Please be aware that some decorative toppers may include wires or toothpicks for structural support. These must be carefully removed before cutting and serving your cake.

Cake Florals Policy

If you would like your cake florals to be an exact match to your event flowers, we recommend that you arrange for your florist to provide the flowers. While Perth Cake Collective (PCC) endeavours to match flower inspiration as closely as possible, using your florist ensures a perfect match.

Important Notes:

  • If your florist is providing flowers for the cake, please ensure they have access to your cake inspiration pictures.
  • In the past, we have arrived at venues where the flowers provided were insufficient or did not align with the requested design.
  • PCC cannot be held liable for incorrect designs caused by miscommunications between you and your florist.

Agreement to Terms and Conditions

By paying your deposit or making full payment for website products, you acknowledge and agree to all Perth Cake Collective (PCC) terms and conditions.

Please note that these terms and conditions are subject to change at any time without prior notice.

Storage and Freezing Advice

  • Cakes:

Leftover cake can be frozen for up to 30 days if stored in an airtight container.

Some bridal customers have successfully frozen their cake for up to 1 year for anniversary celebrations!

  • Cookies:

Cookies can also be frozen for extended storage.

If kept in their individual packaging, cookies have a shelf life of 4–6 weeks at room temperature.

  • Cupcakes:

Like cakes, cupcakes can be frozen to enjoy later.

Proper storage ensures you can enjoy your treats well beyond your special day!

Buttercream Storage and Display Recommendations

To ensure the best presentation and taste of your cake or cupcakes, please follow these guidelines:

Display Conditions:

Buttercream softens and can melt in direct sunlight. For optimal results, display cakes and cupcakes indoors in an air-conditioned room.

Outdoor display:

In summer, consume within 1 hour if displayed outdoors.

In winter, cakes can be outside for up to 3–4 hours, but indoor display is still recommended.

Indoor display:

Cakes structured with dowels or interior boards (2–3 tier) or two-layer cakes can be displayed indoors in an air-conditioned room for up to 6–8 hours.

Winter Consumption Tips:

During cooler months, buttercream cakes need to be left out for approximately 3–4 hours to soften before serving.

If the buttercream inside the cake layers is still firm, slice the cake and microwave individual pieces on a plate for 5–10 seconds for the best texture and flavour.

These tips will ensure your cake looks stunning and tastes delicious for your event!

Cake Stand Hire Policy

To make your event planning easier, Perth Cake Collective (PCC) offers a range of cake stands for hire, exclusively for our cake customers.

Hire Details: A $50 bond is required when hiring a stand. This bond will be refunded once the stand is returned in its original condition within the expected timeframe.

Stands are picked up or delivered alongside your cake order.

Return Policy: The hired stand must be returned to our studio on or before the Thursday of the following week after your event.

Timely returns ensure availability for the next customer’s event.

Late Returns: If the stand is not returned on time, it may impact another customer’s event.

A second hire fee will be invoiced for late returns.

Thank you for helping us maintain a smooth process for all our customers!

Order Change Policy

Unless there is a valid reason, changes to your order or invoice will incur a $25 + GST admin fee. This fee covers the time involved in updating bookings and invoices, as well as any costs associated with goods already purchased.

Please note:

Date Changes: While we will do our best to accommodate date changes, this may not always be possible due to capacity.

If a date change cannot be accommodated, your deposit may be forfeited.

We kindly ask that all details are carefully considered before booking to avoid additional fees and potential disruptions.
